Delivery Room
In the delivery room, light plays a crucial and complex role: it must enable doctors to operate clearly and at the same time create a comfortable atmosphere for mother and newborn.
In the delivery room too strong or direct light could inhibit or drastically increase adrenaline production and negatively affect the mother and consequently also the birth. The ideal lighting would be soft and warm, a light that cuddles mother and baby at the moment of birth. However, in most delivery rooms today, the light is very bright and strong at every stage of the birth. To improve the atmosphere and make it more pleasant, windows are sometimes used to let in natural light, but nothing more.
